The Challenge + Solution -

The Windsor/Essex Sexual Assault Crisis Center approached Windsor Creative with two distinct challenges. First, they needed to name and create the visual identity for an online resource nexus where parents, caregivers, educators, and first responders of children could access a wide range of information and resources to help the audience navigate the various challenges that can arise when raising a child. Second, they also needed us to design a campaign targeted at caregivers of young children to warn of and explain the potential dangers of explicit content online.

For the first challenge, Windsor Creative proposed the name "WE RAISE Our Children," an acronym for "Windsor Essex Resource and Information for the Success and Empowerment of Our Children." We developed a cohesive visual identity and brand guidelines, marketing strategy, website, and social media presence to support the online nexus. The visuals were designed to be fun, youthful, and playful while maintaining high contrast to ensure ADA compliance.

For the second challenge, we developed a powerful and bold campaign titled "THIS ISN'T EASY." As the first campaign for WE RAISE Our Children, we aimed to make a bold, hard-to-miss statement to capture the attention of our target audience: parents and caregivers of children aged 2 to 7. "THIS ISN'T EASY" combined bright, fun colors with alarming and off-putting real-world facts about the dangers young children face online. This campaign was designed to compel caregivers to think critically about the potential harm unrestricted online access can pose to the children in their care.
